Download Flyte Download Manager for PC, Mac and Linux – Download MP3s from Flipkart

The Flyte Download Manager allows you to download songs in bulk and enjoy greater control over your downloads. The Flipkart Digital Downloader is an executable that needs to be installed in your desktop. You should install this before even the first Music download.

Windows

1. Download the installer by clicking on the “Download Now” button provided above.

• If you use FireFox or Internet Explorer, select the ‘Save As’ option.
• If you use Google Chrome, please accept any warnings. You will see the file being downloaded in the bottom panel of your browser.

2. Install the Flyte Download Manager. Once the file is downloaded, run the installer.

• If you use FireFox, a download window will open. Double click on ‘FkdmSetup.exe’. Select ‘Run’.
• If you use Google Chrome, double click on the ‘FkdmSetup.exe’ file downloaded in the bottom panel.
• If you use Internet Explorer, click on Open.

3. Accept warnings and follow the installation wizard.

Downloading songs using the Flyte Download Manager

After successfully installing the Flyte Download Manager, do the following to begin downloading tracks and albums:

1. Go to your ‘MP3 Library’ on Flipkart.com
2. Choose the ‘Flyte Download Manager’ option from the Download Options drop-down
3. Select all songs you wish to download using check-boxes
4. Click on the ‘Download Selected’ button in your ‘MP3 Library’. This will download a file with the .fkdm extension. ‘FKDM’ is an encrypted file that contains information about the tracks to be downloaded
5. Once the ‘.fkdm’ file has downloaded, click on the file to open it with Flyte Download Manager
6. Your downloads will be automatically initiated in the Flyte Download Manager

Frequently Asked Questions

I get a .fkdm file when I download. What do I do now?

You need to install the Flyte Download Manager. You can do so by clicking the “Download Now” button above. Once you’ve downloaded and installed the Download Manager, you can open the .fkdm file with the Flyte Download Manager (selected by default) to begin downloading tracks.

Why do I get an error “Download limit exceeded” even though I haven’t downloaded the file yet.

For details of downloads, please check your “MP3 Library” section by logging into your Flipkart.com account. All information pertaining to the download history is available when you hover over the tracks. The download limit is 5.

I am unable to install the download manager. What do I do?

The Flyte Download Manager is available for download in Windows, Mac and Linux. Please check if you have the administrator privilege to install applications.

I receive an error during download. What do I do?

Did you receive the error from Windows Firewall? In case you did, please allow this program through Windows Firewall. In Win 7 machine, go to Control Panel , search for “Firewall”. In the results, select “Allow a program through Windows Firewall” link under “Windows Firewall”. In the Allowed programs and features list, please select “Flyte Download Manager”.

I receive a time-out error when I click on the .fkdm file. What does that mean?

This may happen due to network issues. Please try again after sometime. Rest assured, this will not affect the number of allowable downloads. You can pause all the downloads using ‘Pause All’ button and continue with ‘Resume All’ option later.

Where did my file download?

In the Download Manager, the file location is mentioned in the footer as a “Change Location” preference. Please use it to change to the location of choice. However, if any downloads are already in progress, the change in location would be effective only from the next download.
Once the file is downloaded, please click the “folder” icon against the file to open the file path.

My downloads didn’t complete. What do I do?

The downloads may not have completed due to network issues. The Flyte Download Manager allows you to resume your downloads at any point. Please try again after sometime.  Typically, connections less than 256 kbps are not stable for larger downloads. Are you in a weak network connection? If so, you can try downloading a lower bit rate song – 128 kbps or 64 kbps. While 320 kbps songs provide you the best quality, the file sizes are larger.
You could pause all the downloads using ‘Pause All’ button and continue later with ‘Resume All’ option later.
