Google Developing Speech-to-Speech Translation for Mobile Phones

Google is developing “speech-to-speech translation” software for the first phone capable of translating foreign languages almost instantly. The basic system is expected to be ready within a couple of years. Google Docs now offers “Translate document” tool to enable Doc users cross the language barrier. Users can send documents in a specific language to anyone and have it translated into teir preferred langugage by the receiver.
