Samsung Corby CDMA Handset at Tata Indicom Offers High-Speed Data Services

Tata Indicom, the CDMA brand of Tata Teleservices has partnered with Samsung to launch the high-speed data-enabled phone Samsung Corby.Tata Indicom prepaid as well as postpaid subscribers can now access high-speed data while on the move with this new device. Tata Indicom claims this to be the first ever high-speed data enabled mobile device on CDMA. Tata Teleservices launched Photon TV, a new application for its mobile broadband subscribers to watch television channels on personal computers and laptops. Pay-Per-Call Prepaid Plan of Tata Indicom and Tata Teleservices

Tata Teleservices introduced a new tariff plan “Pay-Per-Call” for pre-paid CDMA subscribers. The calls will be charged Re 1 for all local calls and Rs 3 for long distance calls, regardless of the duration. Tata Indicom and Teleservices subscribers would be able to avail of the plan by paying a daily fee of Re 1 or Rs 30 monthly and call rates would also apply on mobile to landline and to calls made to other networks. The plan also offers subsidised rate for SMS at 50 paise, for both local and national SMS. Read full story »
