Brew Mobile Platform (Brew MP) Open Operating System

Qualcomm announced its new open Brew Mobile Platform (Brew MP) mobile operating system that delivers high-end features across all 3G technologies. It is as a native and fully realized mobile OS. Brew MP’s flexibility, openness and operator focus, combined with its ability to be integrated with virtually any mobile content delivery system, make it the best choice for mass-market devices. Qualcomm anticipates commercial Brew MP-based devices to be available in the U.S. and key international markets by the late summer of 2010. Samsung bada Smartphone Mobile OS

Samsung announced launch of its own smartphone OS is called bada. Bada is presented as a “complete smartphone platform, able to run high-performance native apps, and services”. Samsung bada is described as being simple for developers to use and having a ground-breaking UI. Bada will gradually replace Symbian and Windows Mobile in Samsung’s smartphone portfolio. Google Chrome OS – Google’s Operating System is Coming Soon!

Google Chrome Operating System, the new OS announced by Google, is expected to redefine the concept of what operating systems should be. The free open source operating system will initially be aimed at the small, lightweight devices known as netbooks.
