iBall launched two new Android dual-sim phones, Andi 3e and Andi 4d. Both the smartphones are running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread version and have G-sensor, proximity sensor and a light sensor. iBall Andi 3e is priced at Rs 6,990 and the iBall Andi 4d is priced at Rs 9,490.
Gartner says India is expected to see sales of 220 million mobile handsets in 2011 due to greater mobile telephony penetration. India is one of the quickest growing mobile handsets markets in the world and boasts millions of mobile phone users with new users increasing every month.
The mobile subscriber base in India rose to 791.38 million in February 2011, while the total telephone subscriber base touched 826.25 million, with overall teledensity 69.29. Only 562.98 million subscribers were active subscribers on the date of peak visitor location register.

Smartphone users are generating 65% of total mobile cellular traffic worldwide even though only 13% of mobile subscribers use smartphones. The iPhone is the highest-traffic-generating device followed by Android devices. As these smartphone users spend more time on the Internet, their average traffic per user (ATPU) will increase by a staggering 700% over the next five years.
