With the rolled out in Andhra Pradesh on the 16th July 2009, Tata Docomo now completely covers South India, and Country-wide service rollout is expected by end of this year.
Along with this roll out, Tata Docomo launched an interactive GPRS application, Tata i-Channel. This is one of the first products of the Japan-based NTT Docomo to be introduced in India. This service lets you check the latest news and useful daily information, easily and conveniently.
The latest news is shown on the standby screen. Press the i-channel button on the compatible mobile phone to easily check the latest news, weather, movies, stocks, and other information useful in daily life. You just need to click a button to immediately view information, with pictures included.
NTT Docomo in Japan offers detailed content also, which allows you to view the information on each channel in greater detail, including photos and illustrations. Separate, additional packet communication charges apply when viewing Detailed Content in Japan. [source]
i-channel supports about 74 Nokia devices available on both S40 and S60 GPRS enabled devices, to download i-channel application one need to point the mobile browser to Tata Docomo Drive in wap portal and download the application.
When i-Channel application is launched a ticker appears on the handset screen upon clicking i-channel soft key on your phone you can view detailed content on the topic of your interest.I-Channel is subscription based service as an introductory offer Docomo is offering it for free with no data charges in home network. When will docomo release in ncr?
also the new diet sms is sumthin fabulous..the charges for the sms is counted by the character you type n nt for each sms..really like dis planh..
n nw its thr diet sms..docomo will surley take the market n set trends all around..
docomo hits the market wit thr pay per second plan..bt thy need to change thr gprs plan..the speed is gud bt bit expensive..wish they com up wit sumthin like unlimited gprs..hope they will..
