SMS Service to Notify High Court Petition Status

The Punjab and Haryana high court is all set to use SMS (short messaging service) to notify ligitants and lawyers of the status of their petition.
In the first stage, the litigants will be able to know the filing status of their petitions as to whether their plea has been duly registered or any objection has been raised thereto. The second stage will result in litigants and lawyers ascertaining the current status of the petition. [via TOI]
