Quick Zip – Compress and Extract Archived Files of Various Formats
Quick Zip is software that can compress and extract archived files of various formats. The user interface of the program is clean and intuitive, thanks to its Explorer-based layout. So, you can browse for archives and open the context menu to access ZIP operations. To create a new archive, browse to the files that you want to include, select them and then choose Archive Operations, Add To and select the archive type that you want to use. Enter a name for the archive and click Save.
To extract an existing archive file, browse to it in Quick Zip and then select it. Choose Archive Operations or Zip Operations, followed by Extract. You can also choose Extract To if you want to specify the destination for the extracted files.
You don’t need to extract an archive to browse its contents. Just double-click it in Quick Zip and it opens in just the same way as a folder does in Windows Explorer. You can even open individual files within the archive by double-clicking them, assuming you have a program installed that’s capable of opening them.
