HTC Max 4G – First Integrated GSM/WiMAX handset

HTC in collaboration with a Russian Mobile WiMAX provider, is going to roll out the HTC Max 4G handset in the Russian market. This is said to be the world’s first integrated GSM/WiMAX handset. It can stream online films, video and TV programmes. It is priced at USD 1000.

The handset is powered by Qualcomm ESM7206A 528 MHz. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and comes embedded with a 3.8 inch 800×480 screen, Touch FLO 3D user interface and 8 GB memory. It is also features GPS, VoIP, IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and HTC ExtUSB.

The HTC Max 4G comes with two cameras and an FM-radio. It is compatible with AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, QCP, MP3, WMA and WAV file formats.
