The History of Programming Languages Poster

How many programming languages do you know? 5? 15? 25? hmm… Very good, keep it up!
Today at work, I came across a poster in the wall which plots over 50 programming languages. I said to myself, ‘Wow!’. What a visual impact! This colorful poster in PDF is published by O’Reilly.
The history started in 1954 with FORTRAN. Last year was the half century celebrations! There are more than 2500 documented programming languages now.
This effort was first started by Eric Levenez. His site also has diagrams for unix history, windows history and the simple version of computer languages history.
