Kerala Launched ‘e-Payment Gateway’ to Pay Utility Bills Online – e-Kendra.org

As a part of its computerization policy, the Government of Kerala had launched ‘e-payment gateway’ system for the people through which they can pay various utility bills and can enjoy government services online, at the comfort of their home. The service is also available at all Akshaya e-centres of the government.

The bills of Kerala Water Authority, Kerala State Electricity Board, BSNL [both Land phone and Cell-one Mobiles] and the University fee payments could be done through this e-payment gateway using both credit and debit cards of 66 banks identified for the scheme.

[advt]At present, twenty three revenue services are available online as part of the e-district project and now, all of them are accessible through the e-payment gateway. The new service also extends to civil service, local self governance bodies, RTO and revenue departments.

Learner’s license fee, renewal fee of vehicle registration, road tax, fee for issue of duplicate registration certificate, change of ownership fee, change of address fee and some other payments can be made online through the e-payment gateway.

Also the program offers and opportunity to people who are interested to offer the e-payment service through the e-Kendra new centers
