Intel unveiled several platform products, including more than 25 processors, wireless adapters and chipsets, including new Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors, Intel 5 Series Chipsets, and Intel Centrino Wi-Fi and WiMAX adapters that include new Intel My WiFi features. Samsung introduced the latest models in its netbook range in Las Vegas. The Samsung N210, N220, N150 and NB30 boast long battery life, anti-glare screens and the quick-boot Phoenix Hyperspace operating system tool. The netbooks feature a low power consumption energy efficient 10.1 inch LED display with 1024×768 resolution with a mark-and-scratch resistant durable coating. The NB30 also has the ability to protect its hard drive, should you happen to drop it, and is water resistant. Olive Telecommunication has launched India’s first ever range of Zipbooks, the 3G Embedded Netbooks, which provides a truly anytime anywhere mobile broadband solution. The notebooks are powered by Qualcomm’s QSC6085 chipset and support EV-DO. The notebooks runs on Intel Atom N270 processor, with 1-GB DDR2 memory, 160-GB HDD and weighs only 1.3 kgs. Asus has introduced new Eee PC 1005PE with the recently announced Pineview 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor. With the new Pineview processor, Asus Eee PC 1005PE boasts of Intel GMA 3150 graphics and standard netbook features. The Eee PC 1005PE will come with Windows 7 Starter edition. Asus offers 1GB DDR2 memory and 250GB hard disk for storage by default. The 10-inch LED-backlight display offers 1024×600 pixel resolution. The netbook also include a 0.3 megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi (b/g), LAN port, microphone, VGA port, headphone jack, three USB 2.0 port and memory card reader. The battery life is more than 6 hours.
