BSNL Kerala introduced special tariff vouchers (STV) for free national roaming for its prepaid subscribers with effect from 15th July 2013.
Recharge Rs 5 gives free national roaming for 1 day, till the second day midnight. Recharge of Rs 67 gives free roaming across India including Delhi and Mumbai circles for 30 days.
All SMS and data special tariff vouchers will be valid while roaming under this STV. All local and national outgoing calls while roaming will be charged at 1.5 paise per second, while the incoming calls are free.
Roam free STVs can be activated through recharge or via SMS or online. To activate these plans using SMS, send STV5 or STV67 to 53733. Rs 4.45 or Rs 59.63 will be deducted from your account balance.
BSNL was the first Indian operator to introduce STV for free roaming in 2011 (STV12 for 15days), but it was withdrawn as per the instructions from TRAI.
Special roam free plans for both postpaid and prepaid for Kerala circle will also be launched soon.
