Book Train Ticket on Mobile Phone – Download PayMate Search.Book.Pay Application

IRCTC launched a new service which allows ticket seekers to book train ticket using their mobile phone. A mobile handset with internet facility and installed with the required software are the requirements needed for booking tickets using mobile phones.

Train tickets on your mobile! IRCTC and PayMate launch Search.Book.Pay service for Indian Railway tickets on PayMate’s mobile payments application.

Download PayMate’s app on your mobile phone to conveniently search, book and pay for any Indian Railway tickets directly from the phone. You can also use the same application to book flight tickets, movie tickets and even shop.

PayMate is FREE! Just download and register once to start using PayMate. It works on most JAVA enabled phones with GPRS activated. Contact your mobile operator to know more about GPRS plans.

Enter your mobile number in the textbox located at the right top of this page and click on submit. PayMate Search.Book.Pay application will be sent to your mobile phone.

Steps to Book Train Ticket on Mobile Phone

  • Step 1: Enter your mobile number in the box on the top right of this page to receive an SMS from PayMate containing a link to download the application. Select the link to download and install. You will find the installed app in your applications/ games folders.
  • Step 2: Select the app icon and follow the instructions displayed to book your ticket and pay from your mobile, cancel ticket, check PNR and more. Current payment options supported include PayMate, GiftMate. Credit Card (Visa and MasterCard) and select debit cards are to be launched soon.
  • Step 3: For confirmations PayMate sends you an SMS and an email with the transaction details

A maximum of six berths/seats can be booked at a time, for a specified journey between any two stations served by the train, subject to distance restrictions in force. An individual user can book a maximum of ten tickets (PNR) in a calendar month. Booking can be done against general (GN), ladies (LD) and tatkal (CK) quota berths/seats only.
