A research carried by researchers at ETH Zurich, Google, and IBM indicates that 45% out of 1.4 billion Internet users globally are at the security risk due to their older versions of the browsers. The issue of usage of the outdated browsers is risky as the latest malwares take advantages of such vulnerable browsers.
Firefox is considered the most secured browser, followed by Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Internet Explorer. More than 75 percent of the web surfers use Internet Explorer and 18 percent use Firefox.
To save the computers from malware and virus attacks, upgrade your browser to Firefox 3 and enjoy surfing the internet at low risk.

I am sure over 90% use windows when browsing the net – linux or mac would be much safer. The point is people are resistant to change. But I hope one day, they will abandon the old browsers for better ones.
